Stellar Career College’s Mammography Technologist (MT) program prepares graduates to work as well-trained and expert Mammography Technologists. The MT program provides graduate Radiologic Technologists, Radiation Therapists, and Nuclear Medicine Technologists with the golden opportunity to complete both didactic coursework and clinical skills and experience required to prepare for professional certification in this field. This program focuses on the specific skills and knowledge required to achieve excellence as a Mammography Technologist.
Additionally, this training program offers clinical externships for Mammography Technologists (MT), which are necessary for certification. Students who complete the training program successfully will receive a Stellar Career College Certificate of Completion approved by the State. The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) will offer a Mammography Examination to all graduates.
Graduates of the Mammography Technologist (MT) training program are capable of:
- Apply radiation protection and safety in the clinical setting,
- The interpretation of diagnostic imaging procedure orders,
- In a healthcare environment, demonstrate the ways of effective communication.
- Learn how to apply your knowledge and learning to advance your career in the mammography field.
Students who efficiently complete all required courses in accordance with the college’s Satisfactory Academic Requirements and meet their financial obligations to the college will be awarded a certification.
Students must satisfy the following requirements in order to challenge the national certification exam in Mammography through ARRT:
- Complete the Mammography Technologist Training Program at Stellar Career College, which is recognized by the ARRT.
- Must show competence in the program’s clinical requirements as well as formal classroom instruction (didactic coursework).
- ARRT upholds high ethical and professional standards. Students must follow the ARRT Standards of Ethics, along with the Rules of Ethics. Any ethics violations must be reported to ARRT within 30 days of their occurrence. Applicants who fail to comply with these rules risk losing their eligibility. So many sorts of misconduct, accusations, charges, and convictions can surely violate ARRT’s Rules of Ethics.
